Antique Watches
Antique watches have held a big interest for me since Mother gave me a watch that belonged to my grandfather. The watch doesn't work and that is not surprising since my grandfather passed away in 1936.
The face of the watch says "American Waltham Watch Co" in fancy scripted letters. On the back are my grandfather's initials in beautiful script. It is about 2 inches in diameter and is a pocket watch of course. When Mom gave it to me, she told me it was because she knew I would take care of the watch. It looks to me as if it were a presentation watch, but presentation for what, I have no idea. I have it mounted in a shadow box frame along with two bank books and a picture of me at my grandfather's knee. I was 2 years old when he passed away.
